Sailing with ChessboArt – Magnetic Chess Pieces at Lakes
Not all passengers on a yacht are made of flesh and bone. Some are carved in walnut, crowned in resin, and born to travel.
Welcome to the second part of our #ChessboTravel series. If you haven’t seen the first story yet, you can read it here.
In this edition, we’re setting sail. Literally.
🧲 Why Chess Pieces Belong on a Boat
We don’t travel with full chessboards. That would be madness on a sailboat. But a magnetic bishop or rook? Absolutely.
Our magnetic figures click gently to metallic surfaces – from railing to cockpit – and they look stunning doing it. Each one is hand-finished in our Polish workshop, light enough to carry, durable enough to brave the sea breeze.

📸 Moments We’ll Never Forget
From slow mornings by the marina, to golden-hour reflections at the bow – the pieces caught it all.

⚓️ A Project that Floats
ChessboTravel started as a spontaneous idea. Now, it’s a growing photo journal, a celebration of slow travel and handmade craft. We document each location, not with drone shots or selfies – but with a quiet wooden symbol of thought.
Have you ever taken a chess piece with you?
Next time you pack, grab one. Share your photo with #ChessboTravel. You never know where it might end up.
