Worldwide Shipping & Customs

Global Delivery & Safety

We ship our chessboards and clocks worldwide from Poland, with extreme care. Our pieces have safely reached collectors in the USA, Singapore, Argentina, UK, Norway, Ukraine, and throughout Europe. Every order is packed securely to arrive at your doorstep in perfect condition.

Shipping Costs & Customs Duties

Your exact shipping cost is calculated automatically at checkout — no need to contact us first. For a growing number of destinations, we've also taken care of import duties on our side, so what you see at checkout really is the final price, with nothing more to pay when your order arrives.

Where this isn't yet the case, standard customs rules may apply depending on your country — this is shown clearly before you pay, never as a surprise later. If you're ever unsure, or ordering something unusually large or heavy, just ask us — we're happy to check and confirm before you order.

Returns & Satisfaction

We strive for 100% satisfaction.
As an art workshop, we want you to love your chess set. However, please note the distinction between our products:

  • Bespoke & Personalized Items: Because these pieces are crafted specifically to your order (custom size, wood, engraving), they are not eligible for return. They are made exclusively for you.
  • Standard Items: Regular products can be returned within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. In this case, the buyer covers the return shipping costs.

Any issues?
Before you worry about regulations, simply contact us directly. We are people, not a corporation, and we solve problems amicably.

A Collaborative Process: Your Vision, Our Craft

This page outlines the process for commissioning a one-of-a-kind chess table. This is not mass production. It is a collaborative project where we apply our passion for wood, aesthetics, and chess to build a piece that is uniquely yours.

We can create truly magnificent tables for chess and other games. Below is a guide to the choices that will shape your project.

Step 1: The Size (Function & Comfort)

How will you use your table? We can build a board with any square size, from a delicate 24 mm to a commanding 56 mm (or even 76 mm for our vertical sets). We then build the table around it.

Our Professional Advice: True comfort comes from the details. We recommend a minimum width of 740 mm for comfortable play and a length of at least 900 mm. This provides ample space for a clock, scoresheet, a cup of coffee, and room to rest your arms during a long game.

Step 2: The Wood (Your Palette)

The material defines the character of your table. We work exclusively with high-quality solid hardwoods. The choice should complement your interior and personal aesthetic:

  • Dark Woods: American Walnut, Iroko, Acacia
  • Light Woods: Ash, Oak, Beech, Mango

(Have another species in mind? We can likely source it for you.)

Step 3: The Board (Technique & Style)

This is the heart of your table. We specialize in several professional techniques, each offering a different feel:

  1. Epoxy Resin (Our Signature): Our most popular style. We use precision CNC engraving for the squares and notation. This is only the first step. The resin is then poured, cured, and the entire solid wood surface is meticulously hand-sanded and finished. This manual process is absolutely essential, as solid wood is a living material that cannot be finished correctly by machines alone.
  2. Wood Inlay (The Classic): A timeless, purely wooden board. We inlay contrasting wood veneers into precisely prepared pockets for a traditional, elegant look.
  3. Classic Joinery: We build the chessboard first by cutting and gluing individual solid wood squares, then build the rest of the table frame around it. (Example: our XXL 60x60 board).
  4. DGT & Electronic Integration: We can perfectly recess any electronic board (like DGT) into your tabletop, complete with hidden channels for all wiring, creating the ultimate modern tournament setup.

Step 4: The Base (The Foundation)

We can top any base you provide, or source one for you. Our most popular options include modern, heavy-duty steel "spider" legs. While we can fabricate custom wooden bases, steel legs are often sourced from specialized partners to ensure perfect stability and to optimize transport costs. We are always happy to provide a quote for any option.

How to Start Your Commission

Our process is personal and transparent. To begin, simply contact us with your initial ideas. We will guide you through the options, provide a detailed quote, and begin the design process.
