Worldwide Shipping & Customs

Global Delivery & Safety

We ship our chessboards and clocks worldwide from Poland, with extreme care. Our pieces have safely reached collectors in the USA, Singapore, Argentina, UK, Norway, Ukraine, and throughout Europe. Every order is packed securely to arrive at your doorstep in perfect condition.

Shipping Costs & Customs Duties

Your exact shipping cost is calculated automatically at checkout — no need to contact us first. For a growing number of destinations, we've also taken care of import duties on our side, so what you see at checkout really is the final price, with nothing more to pay when your order arrives.

Where this isn't yet the case, standard customs rules may apply depending on your country — this is shown clearly before you pay, never as a surprise later. If you're ever unsure, or ordering something unusually large or heavy, just ask us — we're happy to check and confirm before you order.

Returns & Satisfaction

We strive for 100% satisfaction.
As an art workshop, we want you to love your chess set. However, please note the distinction between our products:

  • Bespoke & Personalized Items: Because these pieces are crafted specifically to your order (custom size, wood, engraving), they are not eligible for return. They are made exclusively for you.
  • Standard Items: Regular products can be returned within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. In this case, the buyer covers the return shipping costs.

Any issues?
Before you worry about regulations, simply contact us directly. We are people, not a corporation, and we solve problems amicably.

A New Chapter in Our Signature ChessboArt800 Line

The ChessboArt800 is the board we're known for — and this is its most minimalist expression yet. This is the first and only board we've made without the traditional thin strip separating the playing field from the margin. The checkered pattern flows directly into the frame, creating a clean, uninterrupted look that's quietly striking on the wall. It's a small structural change with a big visual effect.

Because it's built from solid, naturally-grained wood, this exact combination of grain, tone, and pattern can never be exactly reproduced. Only one piece is available — once it's gone, this specific board is gone.

Materials & Construction

Light squares are crafted from heartwood ash — the denser, more richly grained inner wood of the ash tree, chosen for its warmth and character over the paler sapwood typically used elsewhere. Dark squares are solid American walnut, prized for its deep, chocolate-brown tone and fine grain. The frame is solid walnut throughout, giving the whole piece a cohesive, gallery-grade finish.

Board format: 800 × 800 mm — our flagship size, built for real presence on the wall while remaining fully playable, move by move, square by square.

Chess Pieces — Shown for Reference, Sold Separately

The price above is for the board only. Some photos show it styled with chess pieces simply to help you visualize the full set — these are not included. Complete your set with:

Two Ways to Play

The photos show this board styled two ways — with our wood chess pieces for a warm, classic look, and with our resin-detail plywood pieces, where the black pieces are filled with resin for depth and contrast while the white pieces remain natural plywood. Both pairings work beautifully against the ash-and-walnut board.

Design Philosophy

We've built dozens of ChessboArt800 boards, and each one explores a different balance between tradition and minimalism. This edition pushes that furthest: no visual buffer, no extra line — just the board and the frame, meeting directly. It's the kind of detail you notice on the second look, not the first.
