Precision meets artistic intention. The ChessboINK Ash / Blue vertical chess board pairs the bright, clean grain of light ash veneer with bold, hand-applied blue field painting — a combination that brings graphic energy to minimalist, Scandinavian, or contemporary interiors.
Unlike laser-engraved or inlaid boards, ChessboINK fields are defined by carefully painted outlines, with colour applied directly onto the veneer surface. The result is a finish that feels closer to art print than traditional woodwork — deliberate, clean, and visually commanding on any wall.
Beneath the surface, a hidden neodymium magnet grid holds every piece securely in the vertical plane — no clamps, no stands. The board plays as beautifully as it looks.
Note: Ash veneer grain varies naturally between boards. Subtle differences in tone and pattern are a mark of authenticity, not a defect — your board is genuinely one of a kind.
