Yes – we know. Every store has a sales section, a big red banner, a 20% code waiting in your inbox. So why not us?
Well, we’ve thought about it. And we’d like to explain why you won’t find discounts on ChessboArt products – and why we hope you’ll appreciate that choice.
🤝 We don’t discount because we don’t inflate
Our prices reflect the real cost of what we create – the materials, the time, and the craftsmanship behind every board or table.
- No artificial markups
- No seasonal “fake sales”
- No pressure to wait for the next deal
We’re committed to transparent, stable pricing. The kind you don’t need to chase.
🌳 Premium materials, no shortcuts
Some materials we use – like American walnut – are up to 4× more expensive than common hardwoods like oak. And that’s before the real work begins.
We only source wood locally (ash, oak, sycamore), and exotic wood from FSC-certified suppliers.
⏳ Handmade takes time – and so does delivery
And yes, we use CNC machines, milling machines, and lasers... but where simple and repeatable work is required. However, these still won't replace the hand of a craftsman. We simply collaborate. However, remember that over 60% of the time working on a chess set is entirely handmade.
We don't mass-produce. Each ChessboArt product is individually made, often to order. Therefore, order processing times may vary:
- 2–3 weeks if the product is in progress or ready
- 6–8 weeks if we’re starting from raw wood
We encourage early orders – especially if you're planning a gift or need delivery by a specific date. We don’t rush the process, because some things shouldn't be rushed.
