We offer Koopman chess clocks from the years 1950 to 1980.
These clocks, made in the Netherlands, are in excellent condition—mechanically sound and well-maintained.
Some of the clocks from the 1970s to 1980s feature club markings, applied as stickers that can be removed if desired. However, these markings add character to the clocks and are only removed upon the buyer’s request (or can be easily peeled off by the buyer afterward).
Koopman clocks were known for their exceptional quality and relatively high price from the very start of production. Their mechanisms run smoothly, with a unique feature—the second hand moves to the left, unlike most other clocks. Additionally, Koopman held a patent for their precision flag system, specifically designed to accurately indicate the final seconds of a game.
Each clock is housed in a sturdy, classic wooden case, offering an elegant visual appeal.
These were fully professional mechanical chess clocks, used in major world tournaments of the time, including the 1954 Chess Olympiad in Helsinki.
Currently, we offer Koopman clocks from the 1970s and 1980s, with the date of sale stamped on the bottom.
Older chess clocks are priced individually based on their age and condition.
